How long will it take to dry? |
|
Carpets are usually dry within two hours. Upholstery can take up to 12 hours to dry, depending on the fabric and the degree of soiling. Please note that applying Fabric Protector to Upholstery can sometimes double the drying time. |

Do I have to clear the room? |
|
No. As the carpets don’t get very wet using our cleaning system, we can move the furniture around within the room - and put it back in place once we have finished. All we ask is that you clear up any loose bits and pieces lying about and put away any really valuable items. Please note that we will move everything that we can reasonably be expected to. However, if you want cupboards/dressers full of crockery, glassware or other fragile or very heavy items moved, we require you to empty them prior to cleaning. Also, we cannot take any responsibility for damage to electrical equipment caused by disconnecting or reconnecting. We therefore ask you to disconnect Hi-Fi’s and TV/Video installations if you require them to be moved. We can clean right up to furniture with complete safety. We can also clean underneath furniture with more than 6 inches ground clearance. We reserve the right not to move items if we feel we are putting ourselves or your possessions at undue risk. |

What do you actually do? |
|
The carpets are thoroughly vacuumed to remove any dry soils from them. We then apply our cleaning solution and work it into the pile of the carpet. The solution (and the dirt!) is then removed using a thick “pad” on the bottom of a rotary machine called a buffer. We then tackle any remaining stains with a battery of exclusive stain removers and clean around the edges of the carpet (including the skirting boards) by hand. Finally, once we are happy with the results achieved, we groom the carpet to raise the pile and then replace the furniture. |

We want you to be entirely happy with the work that we do for you. To that end we offer the following guarantee :- If you do not feel that the results that we achieve match up with those that you were expecting, and we are unable to rectify the situation to your satisfaction, we will refund your money for the area/room/item in question. This only applies where we have made a pre-clean inspection/quote visit. |

In our ongoing Customer Satisfaction Survey, just under 90% of those who responded felt that the Results that we achieved and the Service that they received from us was either “Excellent” or “Very Good”. Of the remainder, all Clients rated us as at least “Good” following necessary revisits to solve outstanding “problem stains”. Yes. We have “industry standard” £5 Million Public Liability Insurance. We will only accept responsibility for damage caused as a direct result of our actions, and which could have reasonably been foreseen - and not for problems caused during manufacture or by previous cleaning attempts. If anything has been spilt on items to be cleaned, or if an item of furniture has been re-upholstered, PLEASE TELL US! |

You can pay by Cheque (payable to “Chem-Dry”), Credit/Debit Card or Cash on satisfactory completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed. Where possible, we prefer to receive payment by cheque. |

When can I have it done? |
|
Our normal hours are 9.30am to 6.00pm Monday - Friday. Other times available by arrangement. |
